Hong Kong stocks closed comfortably higher Thursday on hopes the Federal Reserve's latest interest rate hike will be one of its last as it looks to fight inflation while averting more banking sector trouble.
The Hang Seng Index jumped 2.34 percent to 20,050.
The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.64 percent to 3,287, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on the mainland's second exchange rose 0.62 percent to 2,111. (AFP)
