Hong Kong and Singapore drew 1-1 on Thursday’s international football friendly at a packed Mong Kok Stadium.

Singapore was on the scoreboard first after 20 minutes of play as Zulfahmi Arifin’s corner kick was sent into the back of the net by defender Lionel Tan.

But Tan was also behind an own-goal about 20 minutes later.

The SAR team was finally back at full strength for the match, after the relaxing of Covid restrictions meant Hong Kong internationals who play professionally on the mainland are able to return to the squad.

One of them is 28-year-old Leung Nok-hang who plays for Zhejiang Pro in the Chinese Super League.
