Hong Kong stocks finished in the red on Friday on lingering concerns about the banking sector, though there was some support from hopes the Federal Reserve could be close to ending its interest rate hike cycle.
The Hang Seng Index shed 0.7 percent, or 133 points, to 19,915.
The Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.6 percent, or 21 points, to 3,265, while the Shenzhen Composite Index lost 0.3 percent, or 5 points, to 2,116. (AFP)
