Police on Friday laid holding charges against a man after he allegedly escaped from custody by switching his ID wristband with that of another defendant.
The 37-year-old man was arrested on Thursday night. He will appear at West Kowloon Court on Saturday on one count of escaping from lawful custody and another count of misleading police.
The alleged ID swap on Monday led to police releasing the man meant to be remanded, while a defendant granted bail remained in a holding cell at West Kowloon Court.
A 24-year-old man appeared in court on Thursday, also accused of misleading officers. He was remanded in custody.
