The government said on Sunday that security minister Chris Tang is to visit Beijing’s political and legal affairs commission on a mainland trip starting from Monday.
He will also visit the public security ministry and the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, among others, while in the capital, Beijing.
The secretary will then head to Guangzhou on Wednesday evening, and then Shenzhen the next day to meet his provincial and Shenzhen counterparts.
The heads of the disciplined forces will join him for the four-day trip.
The Under Secretary for Security, Michael Cheuk, will deputise for Tang while he travels.
