Police on Monday said they have identified a suspect over the death of a woman in Yuen Long at the weekend, but the man is believed to have fled Hong Kong.
A 54-year-old woman was found dead on Kam Pok Road East on Saturday night. She had multiple injuries, including cuts to her neck and arms.
“During our investigation, we found that the victim's neck was suspected to have been cut by a sharp weapon. Whether it was the knife or the chainsaw found at the scene, we can't be sure at this time, and we will leave it for the forensic examination,” said Yuen Long Assistant Commandant Tai Yuk-lun.
Tai added that a 40-year-old man, who was known to the woman, is wanted in connection with her death.
