Hong Kong stocks tumbled on Wednesday along with markets across the globe on worries about an impasse in US debt ceiling talks that has fanned fears the country could default on its debt obligations.
The Hang Seng Index dived 1.6 percent, or 315 points, to 19,115.
The Shanghai Composite Index sank 1.3 percent, or 41 points, to 3,204, while the Shenzhen Composite Index lost 0.5 percent, or 9 points, to 2,009. (AFP)
