Hong Kong shares finished Thursday in positive territory on hopes that the mainland will unveil fresh measures to boost its economy.

The Hang Seng Index rose 0.3 percent, or 47 points, to 19,299.

The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.5 percent, or 15 points, to 3,213, while the Shenzhen Composite Index dipped 0.2 percent, or 2 points, to 1,992. (Additional reporting by AFP)
