Sources say police have arrested a 54-year-old man suspected of chasing a secondary school pupil at a Wong Tai Sin shopping mall with a knife.

A secondary school pupil filed a report around 1pm, saying a fellow student was being pursued by a knife-wielding man.

Police said the man and the boy he was chasing had an argument at a restaurant at Temple Mall South.

Neither of the children were injured in the incident.

This came a week after two women were stabbed to death at a mall in Diamond Hill, and a day after a woman was stabbed by Choi Hung MTR Station.

A suspect was arrested over the Diamond Hill attack and remains in custody.
