Two young girls were reported to be in serious condition in Tuen Mun Hospital on Monday after allegedly being fed candy containing cannabidiol.

The incident occurred in a public housing block in Tin Shui Wai.

Officers said they believed the girls had been fed the sweets by their 48-year-old aunt.

The aunt and the girls’ father, who's 25, have both been arrested on suspicion of ill-treatment or neglect of children under their care.

The father is also suspected of drug possession.
