Organisers of the Hong Kong Marathon have banned a Youtuber for life, after he trespassed during the race in February.
The Hong Kong Athletics Affiliates Association said Carriage Lau did not register for the event, during which he livestreamed his run for more than two hours and took a finisher medal.
"[Lau] also refused to follow the instructions from our race officials despite multiple requests, which seriously affected the event," the association said in a statement.
It condemned Lau's "irresponsible act", saying the ban is for the marathon as well as all future competitions the association will host.
It stressed that any behaviour affecting its events or the safety of participants and officials will be strictly handled.
