Police are investigating the death of a man in his early twenties whose body was found tied up in a flat in Aberdeen on Tuesday evening.

Officers were called to the home at the Tin Wan Estate on reports of an odd smell there.

It's understood the man's neck, head and feet were bound. But reports say there were no signs of struggle in the flat, and no property had been taken, and the home's door and iron gate had been locked.

Police had not classified the case as of Tuesday evening. An autopsy was to be carried out.
