Hong Kong stocks opened lower Wednesday morning with traders given few catalysts owing to the Independence Day holiday in the United States, while focus turns to the release of jobs data out of Washington at the end of the week.
The Hang Seng Index dipped 0.31 percent to 19,355.
The Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.16 percent to 3,240, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on the mainland's second exchange inched down 0.05 percent to 2,068. (AFP)
