Hong Kong shares tanked on Thursday on worries about more US Federal Reserve interest rate hikes as well as China's stuttering economy as its Covid recovery runs out of steam.
The Hang Seng Index dropped 3 percent, or 577 points, to 18,533.
The Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.5 percent, or 17 points, to 3,205, while the Shenzhen Composite Index retreated 0.4 percent, or 7 points, to 2044. (AFP)
