Chief Executive John Lee said on Friday that his visit to Guizhou has yielded three gains, including building stronger ties with the province, promoting cooperation in the Pan-Pearl River Delta Region, and reaching consensus with mainland leaders.

Wrapping up his three-day trip, Lee said he expects more collaboration between Hong Kong and Guizhou going forward, especially in terms of tourism.

"There are so many different cultural characteristics in Guizhou, and Hong Kong can help to promote them by organising different exhibitions, performances, and cultural events," he said.

Speaking earlier at a conference with business leaders, he said Hong Kong will make good use of its strategic location to build stronger ties with other cities in the Greater Bay Area.

"Hong Kong is an important window for the mainland to connect with the international market. We welcome companies from the Pan-Pearl River Delta Region to invest and open offices in Hong Kong," he added.

During the trip, the CE also met with provincial leaders and visited a big data centre, where he was briefed about Guizhou's innovative development.
