US President Joe Biden conveyed his desire to welcome Sweden into Nato as soon as possible in a call on Sunday with Turkey's president, Tayyip Erdogan, the White House said in a statement.

The two leaders also discussed a range of issues that Nato leaders will consider at an upcoming summit, including support for Ukraine amid Russia's ongoing invasion, the White House added. (Reuters)
