There has been another incident involving falling concrete in Mong Kok, the third this month, with debris falling from an industrial building onto Tong Mei Road on Monday.

No one was hurt in the incident at the Fuk Keung Building, which is over 40 years old, but a driver reported damage to his car.

In response, the Buildings Department said it had told property management there to take immediate remedial action. It said the management had now called in a contractor to put up scaffolding for repair work and for further inspection.

The department also said there was no obvious danger to the overall structure.

Earlier this month, chunks of concrete twice fell from Po On Building on Mong Kok Road over a three-day period, on the first occasion injuring a truck driver. Police arrested two men after the incident at the residential block.
