Another former childcare worker was on Friday jailed for one year for ill-treating and neglecting toddlers.
Chan Yee-man, 51, earlier pleaded not guilty to abusing four children at the Children's Residential Home in November 2021.
The Kowloon City Magistracy heard that Chan had pulled the children's arms and slapped their heads for about 10 times, causing them distress.
Handing down sentence, magistrate Peter Yu said the offences were serious, and accused the defendant of being rude, dangerous, and ignoring the needs of the children.
He said her behavior had undermined public confidence in the government and welfare organisations, adding that sending her to prison was the only option.
In total, 34 ex-workers of the Prince Edward foster home have been charged with child abuse or neglect. Several of them are already serving time behind bars.
