Typhoon warning coming, warns observatory

The observatory says it will issue the Standby Signal No 1 on Wednesday as Super Typhoon Doksuri gets closer to the territory.

The storm, which is now over seas east of Luzon, is expected to move gradually towards Fujian and eastern Guangdong on Thursday and Friday.

The observatory says further signals will depend on how close the typhoon comes to the Pearl River Estuary.
