Tolls for the three tunnels across Victoria Harbour will change from August 2, when the government takes back the Western Harbour Crossing, transport officials announced on Thursday.
The fee for private cars using the western tunnel will be reduced from HK$75 to HK$60.
Drivers using the Eastern Harbour Crossing will pay HK$30 instead of the current HK$25, while the HK$20 toll at the Cross-Harbour Tunnel will also rise to HK$30.
There'll be a flat-rate charge of HK$25 for taxis at all three tunnels. Passengers will have to pay double if they get in a taxi anywhere other than at a cross-harbour stand.
Fees for other types of vehicles aren't changing.
Officials also said the electronic toll payment system in place at the Cross-Harbour Tunnel will be extended to the Western Harbour Crossing on August 6 and the Eastern Harbour Crossing on August 27.
