A burst water pipe caused parts of Wong Chuk Hang Road to subside early on Monday morning, forcing officials to shut all lanes bound for the Aberdeen Tunnel.
The closure led to traffic congestion in Aberdeen, as well as in Central and Western.
The Transport Department advised motorists to use alternative routes, such as Pok Fu Lam Road. It also urged people to use the MTR.
