A worker was injured after a private car crashed into a bakery in Tsuen Wan on Wednesday.
The accident happened at around 1pm, when the electric car veered off Tai Ho Road and rammed into the shop in Skyline Plaza.
A bakery staff sustained back injuries after trying to dodge the vehicle.
The driver, meanwhile, was hurt in his leg.
He told reporters at the scene that he had over 40 years of driving experience and had just rented the electric car.
“I was stepping on the brakes, but I don't know why the car accelerated and rammed onto the pavement,” he said.
