Hong Kong’s unemployment rate has dropped further, to 2.8 percent – the lowest level in four years.
Government data released on Thursday showed the jobless rate in the May - July period was 0.1 percentage points lower than the 2.9 percent recorded in the April - June period.
The underemployment rate, meanwhile, stayed at 1.1 percent.
In a statement, the government said sectors such as food and beverage, transport, information and communications, and real estate saw significant falls in unemployment.
"With the economic recovery, the labour market should improve further in the coming months," Labour Secretary Chris Sun said in a statement.
