Foodies flocked to the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai on Thursday – the opening day of the annual Food Expo.
Many were excited about the cheap deals and goodies on offer.
"I like the abalones. Special price, for me, is very nice,” one man said.
Another couple told RTHK that they were on the lookout for unique food products.
"So things like this, olive juice, I've never heard of it before and it's quite nice! And we saw a sugar apple which was really big”, they said.
Many enthusiasts were also thrilled to finally be able to sample food at the expo for the first time in four years.
A vendor noted that despite more conservative spending from customers, she’s expecting a 30 percent jump in profit with the relaxation of Covid restrictions.
This year’s fair will run until August 21.
