A delegation of more than 200 young Hong Kong athletes is in Ulaanbaatar to compete in the East Asian Youth Games, which opened on Thursday evening.
The opening ceremony took place in the Mongolian capital with basketball player Chen Cheuk Yin and judo athlete Lau Wai Sum leading the SAR delegation.
Athletes from seven countries and regions including China, Japan, and South Korea will compete in 11 events over the coming week. The territory's teams will be taking part in nine of the events.
The competitors are aged 15 to 18.
