Former windsurfer Sam Wong started his new job as the territory's commissioner for sports on Tuesday.

Wong said he wants to use his experience as an athlete to tackle the challenges he'll face in his new role.

Before taking office, Wong was the executive director of the Hong Kong Table Tennis Association.

He won two silver medals in sailing for Hong Kong at the Asian Games.
