Police said on Thursday that they were investigating a murder and suicide case in Tsz Wan Shan in which two people died.

Officers said they found an 85-year-old woman lying outside a unit in Ching Yuk House in Tsz Ching Estate suffering head and neck injuries, after receiving a report at around 4pm on Wednesday. She was declared dead at hospital.

Police then visited a nearby unit where a man was found to have hanged himself.

Assistant district commander Lau Ka-ho said the two deceased were neighbours, who had lodged noise complaints against each other.

"It was found that both deceased had previously complained to the security guard of the building about the noise made by each other. However, at present, we still cannot confirm with certainty whether the deaths of the two are related to the complaints," Lau said.

The pair had filed around 10 complaints against each other this year alone, officers added.
