A woman who was jailed for life for shooting dead her aunt and uncle and wounding two other relatives has lost a second bid for an appeal against her convictions.
Former bodyguard Tsim Sum-kit carried out the attacks in Quarry Bay Park in 2018 following a family lunch to discuss dividing up the estate of her late grandmother.
She was found guilty by a High Court jury in 2021.
Tsim sought to challenge her convictions and the sentences imposed, arguing among other things that having to prove her claim of diminished responsibility was unfair and infringed her right to the presumption of innocence.
But in May this year, a panel of three Court of Appeal judges rejected her application for an appeal, saying they found no merit to the grounds put forward.
On Wednesday, the same three judges rejected Tsim's request to take her case to the Court of Final Appeal, rejecting her claim that it involves "points of law of great and general importance" that should be addressed.
