Lingnan University on Wednesday said it is looking into what happened during a recent orientation camp after an online video appeared to show several students kissing as part of a game.
A clip also shows a student licking another's fingers.
The institution said any violations will be handled by its disciplinary committee, and called on students in need of counselling to get in touch.
It added that it will continue to nurture students to become good, responsible citizens.
The kissing comes after alleged sexual assaults linked to orientation camps at other universities.
Police are probing rape and voyeurism allegations at Education University, as well as a suspected case of indecent assault at the University of Hong Kong.
Ricky Chu, who chairs the Equal Opportunities Commission, said university students and staff may not have enough awareness regarding sexual misconduct.
"People could be used to the traditional activities during orientation camps, so students and staff organising the camps may not be alert enough," he told an RTHK programme.
Chu added that the commission is offering universities anti-sexual harassment training, which he hopes will raise students' awareness over time.
