A Kowloon Motor Bus driver died on Thursday after being hit by a vehicle at the company's depot in Kowloon Bay.
Police said the accident happened on a rooftop car park at the facility at around 5am, and they received reports about it at around 7.30am.
Officers said the bus captain suffered serious head and leg injuries, and died at United Christian Hospital.
The force arrested another bus driver, 45, on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death, failing to stop after an accident, and failing to report it.
KMB expressed its deepest condolences to the employee's family and vowed to provide all necessary assistance.
The company also said they would cooperate with the police investigation.
