Police are investigating an attempted murder and suicide case in Sau Mau Ping.

Officers said they found a 42-year-old woman lying inside a unit in Tat Chui House of Po Tat Estate at around 1.20am on Friday. She was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a semi-conscious state.

They later found a 56-year-old man lying on the podium of the same building, who was suspected to have fallen from height. He died at the scene.

The force said initial investigation showed that the man had a dispute with his wife, and assaulted her with sharp objects before jumping from the unit.
