The Drainage Services Department on Sunday called on the public to report flooding, by calling the 24-hour drainage hotline on 2300 1110.

This comes as more rain continues to fall on Hong Kong - two days after it saw its worst downpour in over a century - with the Observatory issuing the Amber Rainstorm Warning at 6.25 am, before cancelling it two-and-a-half hours later. The amber warning is lowest of three rainstorm warnings, and means the territory is likely to see rainfall exceeding 30 millimetres in an hour.

As of 9 am, Police had received reports of flooding in Stanley, Wong Tai Sin, Hung Hom, and Chai Wan.

The Observatory also issued the thunderstorm warning and the landslip warning.
