Hong Kong shares enjoyed a strong end to the week on Friday as a forecast-busting set of mainland data boosted hopes the economy is starting to stabilise after a long malaise.
The Hang Seng Index jumped 0.8 percent, or 134 points, to 18,182.
However, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.3 percent, or 8 points, to 3,117, while the Shenzhen Composite Index lost 0.3 percent, or 5 points, to 1,911. (AFP)
