Beijing's Minister of Culture and Tourism Hu Heping on Friday awarded commemorative plaques to Hong Kong's Tin Hau Festival Association and the Cheongsam Association, for their work on heritage protection.
The festival and the cheongsam making technique were designated as intangible cultural heritage by the State Council in 2021.
The associations said they were honoured to receive the plaques as a form of recognition for their work over the years.
Acting Chief Executive Eric Chan was also at the presentation ceremony at the Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum in Central.
