A construction firm boss appeared in court on Friday charged with the manslaughter of two men who died after working in an underground site near the Elements mall at the weekend.

Shum Yuk-kuen, 62, did not enter a plea during the hearing at Kowloon City Court and the magistrate adjourned the proceedings until December 27.

The court heard that police are still waiting for autopsy reports to find out what caused the death of the two men.

Shum was denied bail.
