Thousands of people flocked to Tai Hang on Friday night to watch the traditional fire dragon dance, in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The dance, which is over a century old and is part of the national intangible cultural heritage, is back after a three-year pandemic hiatus.
Hundreds of performers carried a dragon, lit up with incense sticks, and paraded down the streets and alleyways of the neighbourhood.
Many spectators told RTHK that they were very impressed with the performance and enjoyed the festive atmosphere.
Financial Secretary Paul Chan was also at the scene to enjoy the spectacle, and told the crowds that Hong Kong is making a steady recovery after the pandemic.
Separately, Chief Executive John Lee visited a night market in Kennedy Town and mingled with the crowd.
"As everyone can see, it's very festive here. There are lots of people and it's great for the businesses. That's very good. I hope to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with everyone. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! The full moon marks the time for a reunion," he said.
