A project manager appeared in court on Saturday charged with the manslaughter of two workers who died in an apparent gas poisoning accident last weekend.
The 40-year-old man, who works for the main contractor, did not enter a plea during the hearing at the Tuen Mun Magistrates’ Court.
He was denied bail, and the magistrate adjourned the proceedings until December 27.
On Friday, construction firm boss Shum Yuk-kuen also appeared at Kowloon City Court for the same charge.
Shum, 62, was refused bail and his case was also adjourned to December 27.
The workers had gone underground to repair pipelines near the Elements shopping mall in West Kowloon last Saturday, and were found dead a day later.
