Some light rail services were suspended temporarily on Wednesday after two trains collided in Yuen Long.

At around 9.30am, the two trains, one of them carrying about 120 passengers, crashed into each other at the Yuen Long stop. Three passengers were injured and were taken to hospital.

Services between Yuen Long and Tong Fong Tsuen were temporarily suspended.

Routes 610, 614, 615 and 761P were diverted and feeder bus services provided, the MTR said.

The rail company said it did not rule out that the incident was related to human factors, adding that engineering staff would conduct a thorough investigation.
