Hong Kong stocks opened with sharp gains on Tuesday morning following a strong showing on Wall Street after Federal Reserve officials hinted that they could hold off any more interest rate hikes this year.
The Hang Seng Index rallied 1.19 percent to 17,726.
The Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.24 percent, or 7.44 points, to 3,104, while the Shenzhen Composite Index edged up 0.25 percent, or 4.75 points, to 1,913. (AFP)
