Constitutional affairs minister Erick Tsang said on Monday that officials will promote the upcoming District Council polls at various Night Vibes Hong Kong campaign locations.
He said this is part of a drive to further boost the electoral atmosphere in the city.
At a Legislative Council panel meeting, Tsang told lawmakers that officials will hold more than 100 “light-hearted events”, including parent-child activities, to tell society about the benefits of the electoral reform.
"There will be some crossover events with the Night Vibes Hong Kong Campaign, we will set up stalls and booths to tell citizens the benefits of having reformed District Councils," he said.
The minister said there’ll also be advertisements on social media and television, along with dozens of giant promotional banners to be put up in prime locations across the city.
The nomination period for the District Council elections, slated for December 10, will start on Tuesday.
