A taxi driver was in a coma and his passenger was in hospital after the cab burst into flames following a crash in Sai Kung on Sunday morning.

Online footage shows the vehicle hitting a road barrier before flipping onto the embankment and catching fire.

The accident happened on Clear Water Bay Road near Capital Villa at around 8am.

The driver was rushed unconscious to Tseung Kwan O Hospital. The passenger received scrapes to his limbs and was also admitted to hospital.
