Police said 25 people were injured – three of them in serious condition – in a light rail accident in Tin Shui Wai on Friday evening.

The MTR Corporation said a train hit the back of another near Hang Mei Station just before 7pm.

Passengers on board the two LRT trains were evacuated.

The MTR said the drivers involved in the collision have been suspended.

Light rail services returned to normal later in the evening.
