Eight people have been injured in a roller coaster crash at the Happy Valley theme park in Shenzhen, with the ride suspended and a safety check underway.
On its official Weibo page, Shenzhen Happy Valley said the incident happened at around 6.30pm on Friday, and the eight injured people are said to be in stable condition.
It said the park would be closed on Saturday and Sunday for a safety check, and people who had bought tickets would be able to get a full refund.
Mainland media reported that most of the injured were taken to the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital.
In a statement, the hospital said those with minor injuries had now been discharged, while others with more serious injuries were still on site.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
