The District Council Eligibility Review Committee announced on Friday that all 399 people seeking to join next month's elections have been deemed to be valid candidates.

Each candidate has fulfilled the legal requirements and conditions for upholding the Basic Law and bearing allegiance to the SAR, the committee said in a statement.

The candidates will compete for seats in 18 district committee constituencies and 44 geographical constituencies in polls on December 10.
