Hong Kong stocks surged at the open of business on Wednesday morning after a below-forecast US inflation print fanned optimism that the Federal Reserve's cycle of interest rate hikes has come to an end.
The Hang Seng Index jumped 2.53 percent to 17,837.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.69 percent to 3,077, and the Shenzhen Composite Index gained 0.85 percent to 1,938. (AFP)
