Hong Kong stocks opened slightly higher on Monday morning following a positive lead from Wall Street, with traders keeping tabs on a court hearing over a creditor request to wind up developer China Evergrande.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.53 percent to 16,919.
The Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.05 percent, or 1.66 points, to 3,033, and the Shenzhen Composite Index ticked down 0.28 percent, or 5.33 points, to 1,882. (AFP)
