The High Court on Wednesday ordered Happy Valley Football Club to be wound-up, following an application by one of its former footballers who hadn’t been paid by the club.
The court said Happy Valley did not object to the liquidation request from midfielder Charlie Scott.
Last month, the club's former convenor, Chan Chi-sat, told the court that Happy Valley and himself had not paid HK$1.35 million of salaries on time.
He said the club was insolvent and that he had to settle the wages with his own money earlier this year.
Chan was handed a 240-hour community service order and the club was fined HK$147,000 earlier.
