HK stocks drop as US jobs data moves into focus

Hong Kong stocks sank on Thursday, tracking a sell-off on Wall Street as investors await the release of key US jobs data at the end of the week.

The Hang Seng Index shed 0.7 percent, or 117 points, to 16,345.

The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.1 percent, or 2 points, to 2,966, and the Shenzhen Composite Index eased 0.3 percent, or 4 points, to 1,850. (AFP)
