Chief Secretary Eric Chan said that more than 30,000 civil servants would be deployed across 600 polling stations for Sunday's District Council elections to ensure the polls are conducted in a fair, orderly and efficient manner.

Chan shared on his Facebook page that he personally inspected a polling station rehearsal at Queen's College in Causeway Bay.

He urged residents to elect district councillors who can best represent them.

"Remember to bring your family and friends along with their identity cards, go to your polling station and cast your valuable vote to elect the District Councillors who can best help and represent you, so that we can work together to build a better community where the next generation can grow up healthy and the general public can live and work in peace and contentment," he wrote.
