The DAB has come out as the big winners as 176 members in the District Committees constituencies (DCC) were elected by government-appointed members of three local bodies.
In total, 228 candidates ran for the 176 seats up for grabs. Of these, Hong Kong's biggest political party, the DAB, won 68 out of the 77 seats it contested – taking up almost 39 percent of the seats on offer with an impressive win rate of 88 percent.
The second biggest party represented in the DCCs is the New People's Party with 10 seats, ahead of the Federation of Trade Unions with nine, and the eight spots won by the Business and Professionals Alliance.
Eight of those elected in this constituency are incumbent district councillors.
Of the total 2,532 electors for this constituency – comprised of members of area, fire safety and fight crime committees – almost 97 percent cast a vote.
